Throughout my entire life I have been involved in a number of sports. I knew that if I wanted to be competitive in whatever sport I was playing, strength and conditioning would be key. My passion for fitness began with the impact that exercise had on my athletic performance. When my competitive days of playing baseball were over, I was introduced to CrossFit by my wife Sarah and I have never looked back.

Still looking to be competitive, I was lucky enough to find Dan Goldberg who later became my coach. Through his knowledge and experience, Dan was able to bring me to a level of fitness I never knew I would be able to achieve. Unfortunately, after playing 15 years of competitive sports and 4 years of competing in CrossFit, I began to break down physically. I was rehabilitating a knee, shoulder, and neck injury all at once, and all required surgery. The road back to becoming healthy was a long journey, but one that I turned into a learning experience. While recovering from my own injuries, I discovered that helping people achieve their fitness goals and specifically helping people overcome injury through prehabilitation and rehabilitation was what I wanted to pursue as a career.

Dan and Ellen have built an incredible community at CFS. I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing coaching staff. I’m excited for my future with CrossFit Syracuse and I look forward to helping clients and members achieve their goals.
